Jessa's Tea Parlor. Enjoy a Southern tea experience in Woodstock at Jessa's Tea Parlor, which is open 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays, by reservation only. The tearoom offers a lunch menu of soups, salads and hot and cold sandwiches in addition to several sides. On the tea menu, choose from a simple cream tea or light afternoon tea offering, or opt for one of three high tea options ($19-$26), like the Southern Charm, which includes three scones with citrus curd and Devonshire cream, a selection of desserts, and Southern snacks like fried green tomatoes with pimento cheese, a mini chicken pot pie and other nibbles. This quaint tea parlor also pours up a Princess Tea for little ones (ages 6 and under) who want to join in the tea experience.

Urban Tea. Serious tea drinkers should check out Urban Tea in Alpharetta . The cozy shop offers more than 100 loose teas by the cup or pot, prettily showcased in simple glass canisters displayed on industrial shelving. Modern twinkling crystal chandeliers and a rustic "communi-TEA" table that seats up to 10 add charm to the space. Grab your tea to go or sit down for a spell of friendly chatter. In addition to sipping tea, you can munch on scones with Devonshire cream and preserves. Daily tea tastings, monthly classes and tea service by reservation round out the offerings.

The Vineyard Cafe and Dinner Theatre. While not a traditional tea room, the Vineyard Cafe and Dinner Theatre, overlooking historic Marietta Square, does offer a Tea Party on the Spot option as part of its lunch menu. Satisfy your sweet tooth with the dessert tea ($9.25), which includes scones with honey cream, assorted desserts and French press tea, or go all out with the full tea ($18.25), dishing up fresh fruit, a cup of soup, assorted sandwiches and desserts, scones with honey cream and French press tea. Keep in mind: If you're planning on visiting for a tea party with six or more people, be sure to make a reservation 24 hours in advance. The cafe is closed on Tuesdays.

Sharetea. The recently opened Sharetea in Sandy Springs offers a spin on the traditional teashop in the form of bubble tea. The petite shop — a franchise location from the popular Sharetea chain in Taiwan — offers drinks in one size and allows you to control the amount of ice and level of sweetness in your drinks (similar to other bubble tea shops). The drink menu includes flavored fruit tea, brewed tea, creama tea, fresh milk tea, milk tea and pearl milk tea, plus ice blended options. The helpful staff can provide guidance on favorite combinations and will recommend sweetness levels if you need a little advice when ordering. Sharetea is a casual spot, with just a handful of tables, so you may want to grab your drink to go.
