Pho 24 opening in Sandy Springs and other metro Atlanta dining news from the week

These are the dining, drink and food stories that made a splash in metro Atlanta this week:

•Fast-growing Atlanta pho chain Pho 24 is set to open a new location Sept. 25 at Square One apartments at 6050 Roswell Road NE in Sandy Springs, Eater Atlanta reports. It will join a soon-to-open location at Atlantic Station as well as locations in Chamblee on Buford Highway, Duluth, Lawrenceville, Buford and downtown Atlanta.

•Midtown Viet-Cajun spot Bon Ton starts serving brunch this Sunday at noon.

•Highland Bakery is opening in The Avenue at 238 City Circle in Peachtree City. The 12th Highland Bakery location -- which will feature 95 indoor seats and a patio -- will join others including Old Fourth Ward, Midtown and Virginia Highland. This will be the first location to serve dinner and to offer a full bar. The Peachtree City restaurant is set to open in September.

•The Mill Kitchen & Bar in Roswell has a new chef. Flynn McClanahan graduated from the Culinary Arts Institute of Louisiana in Baton Rouge and has worked EmerilLagassé, Bobby Dolan, Devin Brow and Alon Balshan and Chris Cannizzaro.

•Pinkberry has closed in Lenox Square, Tomorrow's News Today reportsSprinkles Cupcakes also closed last month in the mall.

•The Buckhead location of Kennesaw-based cheeseburger chain Cheeseburger Bobby's has closed at 4365 Roswell Road, Tomorrow's News Today first reported. There are several remaining locations in metro Atlanta including Sandy Springs, Johns Creek, Kennesaw and Marietta.
