Vietnamese restaurant to offer 30 percent off menu on Sunday

These are the food and drink stories that made a splash in the metro Atlanta dining scene this week.

•Pho 24 is set to open its Sandy Springs location Sunday, What Now Atlanta reports. The restaurant will offer its entire menu for 30 percent off on grand opening day, according to owner Wilson Doan. The eatery, to be located at Square One apartments at 6050 Roswell Road NE, will join a soon-to-open location at Atlantic Station as well as locations in Chamblee on Buford Highway, Duluth, Lawrenceville, Buford and downtown Atlanta.

•Whiskey Blue, on top of the W Atlanta - Buckhead, has reopened after a brief closure for renovations. The remodeled bar features a 66-foot long mural from local Atlanta artist Chris Veal, grey subway tile, leather couches and an outdoor patio space with a full-service bar.

•The Georgian Terrace Hotel by Sotherly has appointed Michael J. Kubik as its new executive chef. Kubik oversees Livingston Restaurant & Bar, Edgar’s Proof & Provision  and the catering and room service operations for the hotel. He previously worked as executive chef at the Westin Atlanta Airport hotel and Hyatt Atlanta Midtown and as executive sous chef at Hilton Atlanta.

•Sage Woodfire Tavern closed its doors last weekend at 3050 Windy Hill Road SE, Eater Atlanta reports. Two other locations remain open in Buckhead and at Perimeter.

Ecco has set its opening date at Phipps Plaza for Nov. 13, Tomorrow's News Today reports. Ecco -- which also has locations in Midtown and at Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport -- will be open for lunch and dinner. This will be the second of soon to be three Fifth Group restaurants on Peachtree in Buckhead -- the group will open a second location of Alma Cucina next year and has a location of South City Kitchen in Buckhead.

•Copper Cove Indian Bistro, which closed earlier this year at 2991 N. Fulton Drive NE in Buckhead, will reopen as Southern restaurant Copper Cove, What Now Atlanta reports.
