Japanese restaurant concept Momonoki will open in Midtown in late 2017.

The restaurant will be located in the mix-use community Modera by Mill Creek- Midtown at 95 Eighth Street NW. Construction on the new development is expected to be completed this fall.

The culinary team behind Brush Sushi Izakaya, and  led by its executive chef Jason Liang , has been tapped to develop the Momonoki menu. A focus on Japanese comfort food will mean a variety of donburi (bowls of fish, meat and vegetables served over riced) and ramen, as well as small bites.

A separate walk-up counter cafe will offer coffee, matcha-based drinks, breakfast items and Japanese-style pastries, sweets and desserts.

Momonoki translates to "peachtree" in Japanese and pays homage to the Peach State as well as the many roads in Atlanta that bear the name Peachtree.
