We all need to eat, and if we can help others while doing it, all the better.

Several Atlanta restaurants and food non-profit organizations are participating in Giving Tuesday, the "holiday" every Tuesday after Thanksgiving that encourages people to contribute to charitable causes in their communities.

Here are some ways you can participate:

All locations of Farm Burger will donate a percentage of Tuesday's sales to help those in need.

3365 Piedmont Road, Atlanta, 404-816-0603; 410 W. Ponce de Leon, Decatur, 404-378-5077; and 4514 Chamblee Dunwoody Road, Dunwoody, 770-454-2201. farmburger.net

Looking to donate to a local organization? Check out GAgives, which is partnering with #GivingTuesday to launch a 24-hour giving marathon alongside a 50-state, 97-country effort. The campaign's hub is GAgives.org, which brings together 3,000 of Georgia's charities. There are more than 100 charities that feature some food component, including The Giving Kitchen, Open Hand Atlanta and Concrete Jungle. See a complete list of organizations to donate to here.
