Italian restaurant Allora now open in Midtown and other Atlanta food news from the week

Midtown, you've got a new spot for Italian.

Allora, now open in TWELVE Hotel Midtown at 361 17th Street NW, offers a menu of Italian classics and more modern dishes including antipasto such as charred Ooctopus, Barlotto bean hummus, peperonata and Castelvetrano olives; veal and ricotta meatballs with parmesan grits, San Marzano tomatoes and Grana Padano; and whole roasted artichoke with Bagna Cauda and bread crumbs; pizzas such as the carbonara with pancetta, cracked pepper, mozzarella, pecorino romano and a farm egg; cacio e pepe; porcini agnolotti; roasted branzini; and grilled Wagyu flank steak.

The beverage selection includes custom cocktails, wines and craft beer in cans, bottles and draft.

The aesthetic of ALLORA includes industrial design, leathers and woods as well as a central bar, chef's tables overlooking an open kitchen and an outdoor patio.

Executive chef Chris Maher previously worked at The Ritz Carlton Buckhead, 4th & Swift, and ONE. midtown kitchen.

The restaurant is open for breakfast from 6:30 a.m.-11 a.m. Monday-Sunday; for lunch 11 a.m. -5 p.m. Monday-Friday; brunch 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday-Sunday; and dinner 5-11 p.m. Monday-Thursday and Sunday and 5-11:30 p.m. Friday Saturday.
