These are the dining, drink and food stories that made a splash in metro Atlanta this week:
•Italian restaurant Adalina could open as early as next week at 4403 Northside Parkway in Buckhead, Eater Atlanta first reported. The eatery is owned by Dennis Lange of Five Seasons Brewing Co., with Josh Hopkins, formerly of Empire State South, serving as executive chef. The menu will focus on northern Italian cuisine, and local firm Flags of Origin is designing the space.
•Marietta-based High Road Craft Ice Cream, Inc., has acquired New York-based Ciao Bella Gelato Co., Inc. High Road “plans to explore additional opportunities in the rapidly growing craft frozen dessert and novelty categories,” according to a press release.
•Albatross Public House & Pizzeria is opening this weekend at 8255 Clubhouse Way in Jonesboro. The “Midtown-inspired” eatery features pizzas, buffalo wings, burgers, salads and appetizers such as jalapeño poppers and cheesy bread. The restaurant also has a full bar featuring signature cocktails, draft domestic and craft beers and wine.
•White Windmill Bakery & Cafe is slated to open a fourth location in Kennesaw, Tomorrow's News Today reports.
•Taqueria Tsunami is set to open its eighth metro Atlanta location in 2019 in Peachtree Corners at Peachtree Corners Town Center, What Now Atlanta reports.
