There's a new spot in Inman Park to grab a drink.

Little Spirit cocktail bar opened to the public last night in the space previously occupied by Amer, which closed in March.

Owned and operated by Randy Pechin and Cindy Wong, both longtime bartenders who most recently worked at Midtown nightclub Opera, Little Spirit is a "cocktail-forward bar," Pechin said, "with a laid-back, open, comfortable vibe."

The beverage menu was written with Pechin and Wong's friend Evan Hawkins, who runs the program at New York bar Broken Shaker.

Custom cocktails -- which will alternate from spring/summer to fall/winter later this year -- include the Berry Me, made with Mezcal, strawberries, mint and agave and the All Ryes on Me made with rye, sweet vermouth, coffee and bitters.

Want a classic? No problem -- you can order a classic "or a riff on a classic," Pechin said. A small selection of beer and wine, as well as a kava, is also available. But don't look for a server -- Little Spirit is bar service-only, so order at the bar and take a seat.

Though Little Spirit's focus is on cocktails, you'll be able to grab a few bites. The spot will have a small bite menu starting next month -- until then, you can find food from hot dog purveyors Pigman Goods, as well as other pop-ups in the future.

As far as decor, you'll see paintings of notable deceased musicians by local artist Erica Wong including David Bowie, Biggie, Prince and Tupac.

Little Spirit is open from 5:30 p.m.-2 a.m. Monday-Saturday.
