Fundraiser at Fox Bros. Bar-B-Q. Cocktail making class. Cookie decorating. There are several fun, food events happening in metro Atlanta, so add one or all four of the following activities to your calendar. Be prepared to eat, drink and have a grand ole time.

Wednesday, Feb. 8: Make it a family affair. Atkins Park Restaurant & Bar  invites families to decorate Valentine's Day cookies from 5-9 p.m. during SPARK, Springdale Park Elementary School's family focus night.

Thursday, Feb. 9: Fox Bros. Bar-B-Q will host an all-day fundraiser in memory of Charlotte Nelson, Fox Bros. Bar-B-Q's former head chef who lost her battle with stage four inflammatory breast cancer four years at the age of 37. The restaurant will donate 20-percent of the day's total sales to The Giving Kitchen, which helps Atlanta restaurant community workers who are facing financial hardships.

Sunday, Feb. 12: Celebrate your significant other during "Concoct a Love Potion", a cocktail class that will take place from 1-3 p.m. at Bar Margot . In addition to learning how to make spellbinding drinks, guests will receive brunch, three cocktails and an up-close-and-personal seat around the bar. Each ticket, which is $85, may be purchased here.

Now thru May 1: Head over to Empire State South and 5 & 10 for Head Start Dishes, special menu selections created by Hugh Acheson in his new role as the healthy living ambassador for the National Head Start Association (NHSA). The organization makes healthy living options fun and accessible through Head Start gardens; the gardens enable children and parents to get outside, garden, learn about plants and gain nourishment from their very own creations. All proceeds from Acheson's designated dishes will help fund the NHSA's Garden Grant Program and their Dollar Per Child advocacy program.
