The new food hall will bring more than a dozen concepts to the high-rise Midtown anchor at 14th and Peachtree Streets. Plans also include the creation of an outdoor gathering space called the Grove, complete with a beer garden, a staging area for culinary programming and pop-up events as well as space for a culinary incubator.

“Since its inception nearly 50 years ago as the first mixed-use project in the Southeast, Colony Square has changed hands from one developer to the next, and they all treated it like an office project,” said North American Properties managing partner Mark Toro. “It’s time for Colony Square to re-emerge as a pioneer in the evolution of mixed-use development.”

Tapped to design the new food hall is David Thompson, a restaurant designer and architect who has had a hand locally in the look and layout of O-Ku Sushi in Westside as well as Oak Steakhouse at Avalon.

Work is slated to begin on Main & Main this fall, with the first phase of redevelopment anticipated to be completed in 2018.
