The Big Green Egg will be part of an event at Ray’s at Killer Creek

Two establishments team up for nightly pop-up dinners this week. Head to Alpharetta for a Big Green Egg demonstration plus a bevy of bites from the tasting menu. There are several fun, food events happening in metro Atlanta, so add one or all four of the following activities to your calendar. Be prepared to eat, drink and have a grand ole time.

Now through Oct. 4: Muchacho and Talat Market will team up to offer nightly pop-up dinners featuring two traditional Thai noodle dishes for $12 each plus specialty cocktails and Thai beer beginning at 6 p.m. Seating is first-come, first-served.

Thursday, Oct. 4: Superica's live music series at Krog Street Market will feature $2 pork cheek tacos and live music by REM cover band, the REMakes, beginning at 9 p.m.

Saturday, Oct. 6: The Big Green Egg will be fired up for grilling demonstration and tasting menu inclusive of rock shrimp and cilantro-corn puffy tacos; sweet tea brined turkey breast; and short rib beginning at 1 p.m. at Ray's at Killer Creek. Tickets are $39 and includes the demonstration tasting menu; iced tea, soda or coffee; and a choice of a Bloody Mary, mimosa or beer. Call the restaurant for reservations.

Oct. 6 – 7: Second Self Beer Co. will celebrate its fourth anniversary with a weekend-long activities such as multiple drink stations serving old favorites and new beers plus a whole hog roast, brunch biscuits and tacos, all of which will be available for purchase. Festivities will take place from noon-9 p.m. Oct. 6 and 1-6 p.m. Oct. 7.
