When Whole Foods opens its newest location in Chamblee this Friday , a Japanese tapas concept currently only available in New York will be amongst the offerings.

Izakaya, from Whole Foods' national sushi partner Genji, will feature items including pokè bowls, sushi pizza, ramen, Japanese fried chicken and bubble tea. The eatery will be open from 11 a.m.-9:30 p.m. and will have a separate seating area in the store.

This marks the second Izakaya that Genji has opened in a Whole Foods Market – the first is at the Columbus Circle store in New York, and USA Today featured it as one of 10 great Japanese restaurants in New York.

Izakaya will join several other offerings in the new Whole Foods, located at 5001 Peachtree Blvd., including a Revelator Coffee Company coffee bar serving coffee, wine and beer; macarons from Alon's Bakery; a variety of savory biscuits; rotating rotisserie selections including lamb, pork ribs, whole vegetables, salmon and duck; and several flavors of fried chicken ranging from Nashville hot chicken to Korean.
