Cider tasting room to open in Atlanta and more drink and dining news from the week

Here are the stories that made a splash in the Atlanta food world this week.

Atlanta Hard Cider Co. has plans to break ground on a facility in West Midtown this summer.

The cider company, which was launched last year by husband and wife Mark and Liz Deno, will break ground in July at 1283 Marietta Boulevard close to TopGolf, Atlanta Business Chronical reports.

The 11,250-square-foot facility will feature a 5,000-square-foot tasting room with an outdoor patio, 40 taps and private event space.

The couple's cider is currently sold at stores throughout Georgia including Kroger and Publix.

OTP Tap and Grill has closed at 1475 Holcomb Bridge Road in Roswell, Tomorrow's News Today reports. The business, which opened in 2014, will be replaced by a Gyro City Grill later this summer.
