Check out the newest metro Atlanta places to get a cup of coffee (and more spots on the way)

If you're anything like us, you can't even think of starting your day without a cup (or four) of joe. There are plenty of new places for you to get your caffeine fix, with several more on the way. Read on to find out how to per up around metro Atlanta.

Bar Crema. The twin concept of Bar Americano in the East Andrews Cafe & Bar complex offers a wide-ranging drinks menu with espresso , tea, cocktails, Italian beer, wine and sodas, plus pastries, desserts and gelato in a counter service Euro-style cafe setting.

Brash Coffee. The small Westside coffeehouse opened its second location next to Souper Jenny in the recently renovated Atlanta History CenterLook for drinks made with a Modbar espresso system.

Cafe Lucia. The popular dowtown coffee shop expanded to Cobb County in November with a variety of coffee drinks and an expanded dinner menu, as well as breakfast and lunch options.

Caravaca Market. Harry Bakes, one of several stalls inside the new market in Midtown , serves up coffee drinks and pastries.

Independent Grounds Cafe . This new shop owned by resident Lorna Heid, primarily employs those with intellectual and developmental disabilities, Eater Atlanta reports. Look for coffee and espresso-based drinks and pastries.

Koinonia Coffee -- The Westview shop opened inside D Cafe in February.

Mourning Dove Coffee. The Shops Buckhead concept from Birmingham-based Revelator Coffee -- which bought Atlanta's Octane Coffee last year -- offers a coffee program similar to other Revelator locations , with alcohol and food also being offered.

Muchacho. Housed in the former H. Harper Station space in Reynoldstown, this sister concept of Golden Eagle open since October serves up an extensive selection of coffee drinks in addition to tacos, grain bowls and other dishes.

Perks Coffee. Open since November, this spot offers a variety of coffee drinks including iced coffee with roasted coffee ice cubes and café glacé, as well as 15 types of herbal teas. The coffee shop partnered with Rev Coffee in nearby Smyrna to create its own coffee blends.

The Poncey Highland. Open in the former Cafe Highland space, this coffee house and cafe from the owner of Atlanta Cupcake Factory serves Counter Culture coffee and other coffee drinks as well as breakfast and brunch items.

Pour. Kitchen + Bar. The Brookhaven restaurant recently launched daytime coffee service pour.am, open from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Monday Saturday. Look for custom blends from Rev Coffee, pastries from Alon's and cooked-to-order breakfast and lunch items.

What's coming

3Heart. Eater reports that the coffee shop and roaster from the team behind 8Arm will open in Paris on Ponce along the Beltline Eastside trail this spring.

Blue Donkey Coffee. The coffee roaster and shop is set to add an Atlanta location in Grant Park in The George building at 275 Memorial Drive.

Buteco. Shooting for a May opening, the Brazilian spot will serve coffee, Brazilian comfort foods and beer , wine and cocktails at 1039 Grant St. SE in The Beacon development in Grant Park.

Dad's Coffee Bar. The music venue/coffee shop that has operated as a pop-up over the past year is set to open this spring at 240 DeKalb Industrial Way in Decatur.

Hodgepodge Coffee. The popular East Atlanta coffee shop is set to expand with a second location in Summerhill across from the GSU Stadium in mid-2019.

The James Room. The cocktail lounge from the team behind 18.21 Bitters will serve coffee and pastries during the day when it opens in Old Fourth Ward at 659 Auburn Ave.

Java Cats Cafe. The cat cafe and coffee shop is set to open its second location in Marietta this spring.

Revelator Coffee. The company is set to open a new location in May at 101 Marietta St. in downtown Atlanta.
