Get your slurping pants on -- there's a new spot for ramen in Brookhaven.
Tanaka Ramen opened this week in the Town Brookhaven development in a space previously occupied by Boneheads.
The menu offers several kinds of pork, chicken and vegetarian ramen bowls with a choice of thin, traditional Japanese or gluten-free noodles. There are also a variety of donburi (rice bowls) and appetizers such as takoyaki (octopus dumplings), fried oysters and furaidocikin, marinated chicken cooked using a Japanese technique called Karaage and covered with almonds and a choice of sauce.
Dessert options include Sakura Raindrop Cake and matcha creme brulee, and beverage offerings include a selection of tea and coffee drinks.
Tanaka is open from 11 a.m.-10 p.m. Sunday-Thursday and 11 a.m.-midnight Friday-Saturday.
