Celebrity chef dinner in Buckhead, BBQ restaurants help Hurricane Harvey victims and more in metro Atlanta this week

Meals and music. Several barbecue restaurants team up to help Hurricane Harvey victims. There are several fun, food events happening in Atlanta, so add one or all four of the following activities to your calendar. Be prepared to eat, drink and have a grand ole time.

Wednesday, Sept. 6: During BBQ for Texas Dine Out, Sweet Auburn BBQBone Lick BBQ, Community Q, Smoke Ring and several others will donate a portion of the day's sales to GlobalGiving, a crowdfunding site that has a goal to raise $5 million to be used exclusively for local relief and recovery efforts. Thursday, Sept. 7: The popular Catalina Wine Mixer will return along with groovy tunes, food and half price bottles of wine at Venkman's . The show will begin at 7:30 p.m.; Yacht Rock tunes will be spun by DJ Raetone and 70s classic cult movies will silently play in the background. Admission is free, but reservations are recommended.

Sept. 7 – Nov. 30: Tapas on the Terrace, an outdoor culinary series at  The St. Regis Atlanta , offers an array of pisco libations and traditional Latin tapas with a twist alongside new live music from award-winning flamenco guitarist, Gladius from 6-10 p.m. Drinks include pisco sour, pisco chilcano and last days of pisco; each will be priced at $17. The tapas menu includes papas fritas, hangar steak with quail eggs and lobster causa, priced at $6 each.

Friday, Sept. 8: For a sunset dinner with celebrity chef Art Smith, head to the second annual Art's Big Southern Barbecue at Southern Art from 6-10 p.m. The evening will feature a buffet of house-cured, smoked and grilled meats, delectable desserts and brews provided by SweetWater Brewing. Rounding out the festivities will be live entertainment and lawn games. Tickets, which are $79, can be purchased here.
