Popular ice cream shop Butter and Cream has closed its Roswell location. Sept. 3 was its last day in business, according to a post on the spot’s Instagram account:

Butter and Cream initially announced the closure on its Facebook page in August, attributing it to the demolition of the building the business is located in.

Butter and Cream, which opened its Roswell shop in August 2017 at 26 Webb St., recently opened a location in Old Fourth Ward off the Eastside Beltline. The first location opened in 2014 in Decatur.

Owner Stacy Wisniewski's shop makes its own ice cream, sorbets, sauces, toppings, cookies and cakes , with rotating ice cream flavors including Freckled Chocolate, Blueberry Lavender and Milk Chocolate Stout.

The AJC has reached out to Butter and Cream for more details on a closing date and a possible relocation in Roswell.
