A new type of game is ready to make its debut in Grant Park.
Pin & Proper, which is slated to open to the public Aug. 24 in The Beacon development, will feature Pinfall, a bowling-football hybrid that representative Natalie Beard described as a cornhole-like game wherein players try to knock down opponents' pins using a football. Pin & Proper will be the first place in metro Atlanta to offer Pinfall, which employs a typical bowling pin layout and uses full-size regulation footballs.
The spot will feature a pub-style menu designed by chef Lindsay Owens offering a variety of sliders, flatbreads, wings, burgers and salads as well as vegan and gluten-free options.
A full bar will serve a variety of domestic and craft beers, wines by the glass and the bottle and a custom cocktail designed by bartender Rob Floyd, who has appeared on the TV show "Bar Rescue."
Also involved from the “Bar Rescue” team is host Jon Taffer, who has served as a consultant and will stay on through the first quarter after Pin & Proper opens. The spot is owned and operated by Lauren and Chaise Hughes, who have owned Dairy Queen franchises in their native Michigan.
Pin & Proper will feature eight regular lanes that can be rented for $10 per person before 5 p.m. and $15 per person after 5 p.m., and two VIP lanes that can be reserved for $200 for two hours and will allow guests to order kegs or bottle service.
Kids can play and eat at Pin & Proper until 5 p.m. The space will also be available for birthday parties, and because the Pinfall boards are mobile and Pin & Proper has a polished wood floor, the space could be used for skating parties.
Pin & Proper will be open from 11 a.m.-midnight Sunday-Thursday and 11 a.m.-2 a.m. Friday-Saturday.
