On Saturday, the annual Atlanta Cask Ale Tasting convenes from 2:30-6 p.m. at Five Seasons Westside, with more than 50 rare, cask-conditioned ales from the USA and UK on tap.
Among the varied offerings this year, you’ll find everything from the sublime Cigar City Maduro Brown Ale, to the boozy Scofflaw Barrel-Aged Absentium Imperial Stout, and the spacey Terrapin Beyond the Galaxy IPA spiked with Tang.

Terrapin Beyond the Galaxy replaces Mosaic IPA as the brewery’s first seasonal offering of 2018. Taking off on the single hop formula, it features Australian Galaxy hops and a malt bill that includes wheat and flaked oats.
The result is a golden beer with a soft mouthfeel and in-demand juicy fruit aromas and flavors with pungent citrus and passionfruit notes.
Pair with
Terrapin recommends pairing Beyond the Galaxy with cheddar or Colby cheese, Thai green curry with chicken, or Little Debbie Cosmic Brownies.
