Backyard anniversary party in Roswell, PeachFest and more in metro Atlanta this week

Celebrate Table & Main’s anniversary in Roswell. Head to six-course dinner this weekend in Midtown. There are several fun, food events happening in Atlanta, so add one or all four of the following activities to your calendar. Be prepared to eat, drink and have a grand ole time.

Tuesday, Aug. 8: Holeman and Finch will kick off a new monthly wine tastings at  Holeman and Finch Bottle Shop  with wine expert Patrick Kelly starting 6-7 p.m. today and recurring on the first Tuesday of every month. Guests will sample up to three wines and complementary charcuterie and cheese. The tasting is $40 and caps at 12 guests; call 404-948-1175 to reserve a spot.

Sunday, Aug. 13: Table & Main will host a backyard party for its sixth anniversary from 4-10 p.m. The event will feature an all-you-can-eat low country boil, music and more. Food tickets are $25 and can be purchased here or at the event. Drink specials will also be available for purchase.

Thursday, Aug. 10: Better Half's chef Sean Allen and Contra's Spencer Bennett will host a half and half dinner featuring a cocktail reception and canapes at 7 p.m. followed by a six-course dinner with wine pairings at 7:30 p.m. Tickets, which are $100, can be purchased here. For people who cannot make the dinner, Better Half will host the aftermath, an industry oriented happy hour featuring all you care to drink batched cocktails, imperial beer and a selection of snacks for $30.

Sunday, Aug. 13: Eat, drink and be merry with peach-flavored food and drink during PeachFest , a celebration of Georgia's most iconic crop. The event will feature more than 85 food artisans, pastry chefs and sponsors collaborating on culinary dishes and experiences—with a twist—from 4-7 p.m. Tickets are $60 - $100 and can be purchased here. Chefs will include Bryan Furman of B's Cracklin BBQ, Chad Clevenger of Alma Cocina, Hector Santiago of El Super Pan and Kristia Paz of One Eared Stag. Read more here
