Georgia's oldest craft brewery, Red Brick Brewing Co. will mark its 25th anniversary In September. And beginning today, it will celebrate with a complete rebranding and a return to one of the two names its been known by over that time, Atlanta Brewing Co.
Look for more on all that in Beer Town next month. But in the meantime, the brand new Atlanta Brewing Hartsfield IPA is this week’s Beer Pick.

Brand new to the newly rebranded Atlanta Brewing Co., Hartsfield IPA will be part of the year-round lineup. But each batch will feature a new and different hop in addition to a base of Citra and Mosaic hops. The first iteration features Moutere hops from New Zealand, a hybrid of the Czech Saaz hop.
Described as a “contemporary IPA,” it pours blissfully transparent, with a pale gold color, and a rocky white head. At 6.2 percent alcohol, it’s crisp, clean and aromatic, with lovely notes of lemon, lime and passionfruit, and a soft bitterness at the back of the palate.
Pair with
A very food friendly IPA, and the tropical hop notes and lightly malty bitterness in Hartsfield are a natural for spicy Latin and Asian dishes, including black bean tostadas, carnitas, Malaysian pan-seared fish or green papaya salad.
