Here are the stories that made a splash in the Atlanta food world this week.

A popular downtown Atlanta breakfast spot has plans to open a second intown location.

Atlanta Breakfast Club will open in the Freedom Corner building at 340 Auburn Ave., What Now Atlanta first reported.

Co-owner Anthony Sanders said the menu will focus on different variations of chicken and waffles and nitro cold brew.

The original restaurant is located at 249 Ivan Allen Jr. Blvd. NW in Atlanta.

Ford Fry's newest forthcoming Tex Mex restaurant has a name . Little Rey, inspired by the border town of Reynosa, will open on the border of Piedmont Heights and Morningside at 1878 Piedmont Ave. (the former home of Anchor Bar & Tattoo), will offer a menu with wood-roasted "chicken al carbon" at its core, with dishes "encouraging a healthy lifestyle" according to a press release, including salads, salsas and hand-made tortillas. Takeaway options including breakfast tacos and whole chicken will also be available.

Chef Linda Harrell has purchased Cibo e Beve from 101 Concepts Restaurant group. Harrell has been a part of 101 Concepts for more than 16 years and worked at the group's restaurants Mangia and Meehan's Public House before assuming the position of executive chef at Cibo e Beve six years ago. She becomes the new owner along with partners Gianni Betti, the co-founder of Antica Posta, and Gonzalo de Aristegui.

Irby's Tavern is now open in the former Meehan's Public House Buckhead space at 322 E Paces Ferry Road NE.
