From the Hawks

The Hawks will use the same starting lineup as the first two exhibition games. Coach Mike Budenholzer said Thabo Sefolosha will play 'few' minutes but would not give a more definite restriction other than "limited." Concerning Sefolosha's return, Budenholzer said: "It's kind of the next logical step. He is obviously working his way back. I think it will be good for him to get minutes in a real-game environment. He has scrimmaged in practice and took part in the open scrimmage. He has continued to work his way back." ... It sounds like you can count on a yearly Spurs-Hawks exhibition game. When asked if it's something that can be expected, Spurs coach Gregg Popovich said, "I don't see why not."

From the Spurs

Tim Duncan (personal reasons) and Aldridge missed shootaround. ... Popovich was asked about his propensity for short answers to NBA-mandated in-game interviews Wednesday morning. He was quite funny. “I’m very disappointed in Bud’s courtesy and civility in those (sideline) interviews. I’d like him to be much more curt, short, rude, like me. And funny.” Later he added:  “I’m not trying to (embarrass the reporter). Ignorant, unanswerable questions that border on the inane require certain kinds of responses.” ... Popovich said he would starting trimming the Spurs roster this weekend and play a regular rotation the final three exhibition games.
