SAN FRANCISCO – Falcons linebacker Philip Wheeler is a chef.

He will compete in the annual Super Bowl Recipe Playoff on Rachael Ray’s daytime talk show on Friday.

Wheeler is facing the Jets’ Damon Harrison Packers’ Randall Cobb and former Giants star Amani Toomer. They’re all cooking up their best game-day dishes.

Wheeler is cooking up “Phil’s Famous Lasagna,” his own recipe that includes mozzarella, ricotta, and cheddar cheeses, and a closely guarded secret sauce.

“I haven’t lost to Damon Harrison or Randall Cobb on the football field, and I don’t plan on losing to them in the kitchen, either,” Wheeler said.

Chef Emeril Lagasse will serve as the judge for the cook-off.

The Rachel Ray show airs on channel 11 WXIA at 2 p.m. in Atlanta.
