FLOWERY BRANCH -- Falcons cornerback Robert Alford, running back Devonta Freeman and linebacker Paul Worrilow spoke to the media today after the offseason practice.
Here's are a five quick takeaways:
1. Navy Seal. Falcons coach Dan Quinn had a NAVY Seal in to talk with the team about training and the mental side of working out.
2 Alford is a father. Alford has a new son. "It was a boy," Alford said. "He was born 8 pounds and 12 ounces." He also fine with his move to nickel back. "I’m good with it," Alford said. "Whatever it takes for this to win, I’m willing to do it."
3. Freeman's lawn care business. Freeman discussed stopping to help an elderly lady in his neighborhood with her lawn.
4. Paul Worrilow's advice. Worrilow made the team as a undrafted rookie. He said they used to call him "Zeke" all the time. They had him confused with former Falcons Zeke Motta. His advice to the rookies, who report tomorrow, is to focus on "special teams" and to "not hold anything back."
5. Facetime from Africa. Freeman and running back Tevin Coleman have been bonding over the offseason. Freeman said he was face-timing Coleman when he was on a trip to Africa.
