FLOWERY BRANCH — Here's what we learned on Wednesday about the Falcons (6-2), who play at San Francisco (2-6) at 4 p.m. Sunday at Levi Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif.
- BEASLEY HAS 2 SACKS AT HALFWAY POINT: Falcons rookie Vic Beasley has just two sacks, but continues to work hard. There are no plays to move him outside to give him a wider angle.
- INJURY REPORT: Five players worked out with the training staff. Cornerback Desmond Trufant was limited but said he plans to play on Sunday.
- MATT RYAN BRUSHES OFF TERRY BRADSHAW'S NONSENSE: We were waiting for Matt Ryan to say, "Old Bald Guy, shut up!" But he didn't when asked about Bradshaw's latest nonsensical commentary.
- PRACTICE: The Falcons held their walk-through indoors, but came back outside for their practice.
- WEAK DEFENSE IS READY FOR GABBERT: The Falcons took umbrage with a notion that the 49ers waited a week to start Blaine Gabbert so he could face a "weak Atlanta defense." Quinn heard about the notion which made the rounds on social media on Tuesday. "I heard it," Quinn said. "What I can say is that we don't allow anybody else to help get us ready. We'll be ready to rock."
