FLOWERY BRANCH — Here are the five things we learned Monday about the Falcons (6-7), who play at Jacksonville (5-8) at 1 p.m. Sunday at EverBank Field. The Falcons have dropped six straight and seven of the past eight games.
1. CHANGES ON THE WAY: Columnist Mark Bradley is certain that owner Arthur Blank will not take this historic collapse lightly.
2. FALCONS LOOKING FOR THEIR ENERGY: Running back Devonta Freeman knows what's wrong with the Falcons.
3. SCHRAEDER PULLED FROM GAME: Right tackle Ryan Schraeder was pulled from the game after getting an unsportsmanlike penalty with 8:17 to play. He was replaced by Jake Long.
4. ALFORD HAD ROUGH DAY: Falcons cornerback Robert Alford had a rough day against the Panthers. He met with coach Dan Quinn, but doesn't face any discipline for apparently quitting on a play.
5. HAGEMAN, COX MET WITH QUINN: Defensive line coach Bryan Cox and defensive tackle Ra'Shede Hageman also met with coach Dan Quinn to discuss the shoving make that broke out on the sidelines in the first quarter.
