FLOWERY BRANCH -- Brett Kollman, who writes SB Nation's Battle Red Blog, gave a scathing film review of the play-calling of Falcons coordinator Steve Sarkisian against the Eagles in the 15-10 loss in the divisional round of the playoffs on Saturday.

He alleges that Sarkisian did a poor job of game-planning, didn't use fundamental concepts that other teams used to exploit the Eagles' defense and ran just three double-move routes that were not set up.

He also notes that quarterback Matt Ryan is under center in the two-minute drill right before the half in an obvious passing situation. Ryan was sacked on the play by Fletcher Cox, who abused right guard Wes Schweitzer.

Falcons coach Dan Quinn said Sarkisian is being retained by the Falcons for 2018. He felt the offense "under-executed" in 2017. But there were issues with play-calling (Jet sweep on the 1-yard line) all season.

Here's our

and

my column on the offense being a dumpster fire.

Kollman seems to concur with my conclusion.

"I hate seeing bad football in the playoffs," Kollman says in his video.
