FLOWERY BRANCH – The Raiders released their 'official' depth chart for the game against the Falcons, which is set for 4:25 p.m. Sunday at O.CO (Oakland-Alameda County) Coliseum.

The Raiders defense features to of Dan Quinn’s former linebackers in Seattle in Malcolm Smith and Bruce Irvin.

Irvin, who’s from Atlanta and played at Stockbridge and Stephenson High, wanted to play for the Falcons, but the Raiders stepped forward with a four-year, $37 million deal with $19 million guaranteed.

The Falcons likely felt that Irvin and Vic Beasley were too similar. The elected to spend their money on Alex Mack and Mohamed Sanu instead.

Also, Vadal Alexander, a seventh-round from LSU who played at Buford High, is the backup right guard for the Raiders on the depth chart.

(The team calls it an ‘unofficial’ depth chart. But if they are releasing it, for our purposes that makes it pretty official.)
