7 quick takes from the last day of Falcons' minicamp

FLOWERY BRANCH -- The Falcons wrapped up their minicamp on Thursday and broke for the summer. The players report back to the team's facilities on July 27.

1. Quarterback corner. Starting quarterback Matt Ryan and Matt Schaub had the day off. Sean Renfree and Matt Schaub ran the offense. Ryan and Schaub did the play calling from the sidelines during the two-minute drill.

2. Luckett tryout over. Wide receiver Donatella Luckett was not retained after his one-day tryout on Wednesday.

3. New Cameras. The Falcons are waiting for two more camera stands. The Falcons have been experimenting with a camera that rising to the sky and the operating works from the group. The cameras cost $280,000 each.

4. Bosher is back. Falcons punter Matt Bosher was back at practice after being excused on Wednesday.

5. Big interception. Falcons safety Kemal Ishmael dove and made a spectacular interception on a tipped pass.

6. Collins to reserve role. Falcons cornerback Jalen Collins, who must serve a four-game suspension will be a backup throughout training camp.

7. Returner tryouts. After practice, eight players lined up to catch punts from the machine. The group included Tevin Coleman, Terron Ward, David Glidden, Nick Williams, Justin Hardy, Aldrick Robinson, Eric Weems and J.D. McKissic.
