Players with Georgia ties at the Senior Bowl

The Senior Bowl folks will announce the North and South rosters soon.

The Falcons will coach the North team. Here’s a list of the invitees.

Here’s a look at seven local players who will play in the game, the premier showcase All-Star game before the NFL draft.

Jeremiah Attaochu, LB, Georgia Tech: He was third-team Associated Press All-American. Attaochu finished the regular season with 12 sacks. His experience as an outside linebacker in the 3-4 and one season as a defensive end in the 4-3 makes him an intriguing prospect for NFL scouts.

Arthur Lynch, TE, Georgia: He was plagued by untimely dropped passes last season. He will have to impress scouts in order to improve his draft situation. He was a first-team All-SEC selection.

Jerick McKinnon, RB, Georgia Southern (Sprayberry): He will try to make the conversion to running back at the Senior Bowl and impress NFL scouts after a stellar career in Statesboro. He finished with 3,899 rushing yards and 42 touchdowns at Georgia Southern. He had six games of at least 100 rushing yards in 2013.

LaVelle Westbrooks, CB, Georgia Southern (Riverdale): Four-year starter for the Eagles, who played cornerback and safety. He’s a big hitter and had 20 career pass breakups, seven interceptions and 147 total tackles.

Darqueze Dennard, DB, Michigan State (Twiggs County): Helped the Spartans win the Big Ten championship game and the Rose Bowl. He was the Jim Thorpe Award winner, which recognizes the nation's top defensive back.

Ja’Wuan James, OT, Tennessee (North Gwinnett): He started all 49 games of his career at right tackle (school record) and helped Vols to most rushing yards in nine seasons (2,261).

Telvin Smith, LB, Florida State (Lowndes): Helped the Seminoles win the national championship. He was the team’s leading tackler.
