FLOWERY BRANCH -- ESPN draft analyst Todd McShay has the Falcons selecting speedy Ohio State linebacker Darron Lee with the 17th overall pick in his latest mock draft 3.0 which was released today.

The Falcons were the worst defense in the NFL at covering running backs and tight ends last season, allowing 213 combined completions, according to ESPN Stats & Information research. Selecting Lee -- a very good cover linebacker with 4.47 speed -- would go a long way toward addressing that weakness. The former Buckeye fits into today's NFL very well and would provide an immediate upgrade to Atlanta's LB corps.

He has Clemson defensive end Shaw Lawson going to the Chicago Bears with the 11th pick.

He has the Falcons passing on Georgia's Leonard Floyd (18th to the Colts),  Eastern Kentucky's Noah Spence (20th to the Jets) and Mississippi's Robert Nkemdiche (26th to Seattle).

Here's Lee's Ohio State bio.

Can you live with Lee over Floyd, Spence and Nkemdiche?
