D. Led's breakdown of the wide receivers in the 2016 draft

FLOWERY BRANCH -- The two previous drafts were considered to very deep at the wide receiver position.

Last season, Minnesota found Maryland wide receiver Stefon Diggs in the fifth round.

In the past two drafts, there were 11 wide receivers taken in the first round and 21 selected in the second round.

The draft may only see three wide receivers selected in the first round.

Perhaps the most intriguing prospect is former Ohio State quarterback Braxton Miller, who converted to wide receiver last season.

Former Georgia wide receiver Malcolm Mitchell hasn't attracted much pre-draft attention after a decent performance during Senior Bowl week. He's the 19th rated wide receiver in the draft, according to and they are projecting that he'll be selected in the fourth round.

Teams in need: Minnesota, Indianapolis, Cincinnati, Buffalo and Kansas City.

Need area for Falcons? No. The Falcons believe they are set with Julio Jones, Mohamed Sanu and Justin Hardy.
