D. Led's breakdown of the cornerbacks in the 2016 draft

FLOWERY BRANCH -- There are some good quality cornerbacks in this draft class.

Florida State's Jalen Ramsey is at the head of the class followed by Florida's Vernon Hargreaves III, Ohio State's Eli Apple and Clemson's Mackensie Alexander.

Ramsey could go as high as third to San Diego.

Teams in need: San Diego, Pittsburgh, New Orleans, Tampa Bay, Cleveland and Cincinnati.

Need area for Falcons? Yes. But the Falcons just selected Jalen Collins in the second-round (42nd overall) last season. They need to find out if Collins can play or if he's the next Jimmy Williams (Remember him? Second-round from the Jim Mora era.)

Williams was drafted 37th overall in 2006 as a big corner out of Virginia Tech. When the Falcons figured out he couldn't play corner they tried him at safety. He started seven of 27 games over two seasons and was out of the league by 2008.

The Falcons have blamed Collins struggles last season on not having an offseason because of his foot injury. This year he'll have the full offseason program, but is already suspended for the first four games for violating the league's performance enhancement drug policy.

The Falcons converted Akeem King from safety to cornerback and may need take another corner in the draft.
