FLOWERY BRANCH -- Falcons owner Arthur and wife, Angie Blank, will host a screening of the film Gleason, a documentary highlighting the life and mission of former NFL safety Steve Gleason and his battle with ALS, at 7:30 p.m. Friday at AMC Theater off Cobb Parkway near Cumberland Mall.

As a father and cancer survivor himself, Blank and his family were moved by Gleason’s story and compelled to get involved.

Blank will also announce a donation to The Gleason Initiative Foundation.

Gleason is an American documentary film directed by Clay Tweel covering five years in the life of the former New Orleans Saints defensive back, Steve Gleason who suffers from Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), sometimes known as Lou Gehrig's disease, a rare incurable autoimmune condition.

The documentary premiered on June 29, 2016, at the Sundance Film Festival.
