Holy Six Flags!

Looks like the Joker is at it again because Batman the Ride will be running backward for a limited time when Six Flags Over Georgia opens on March 14.

With the train facing rearward,  riders will experience a new, disorienting reverse view. The loops, twists and turns will be the same but "imagine that experience when you can't even see what's in front of you," said Dale Kaetzel, president of Six Flags Over Georgia and Six Flags White Water. "It will be a unique, fun way to experience one of our most popular coasters."

And there's more coming to the Gotham City section of the park. The restaurant in that section is being renovated, and later this spring there will be more thrills with the addition of two new rides: the Joker Chaos Coaster, a giant loop of track, and Harley Quinn Spinsanity, a spinning family ride.

Since it opened in 1997 Batman has given more than 16 million rides but none of them has been backwards. The  direction change will be in place through May 10. After that, Batman will be running forward again.
