The annual public art extravaganza Flux Night, planned for Saturday, has been postponed due to weather.

Flux Night, one of Atlanta's biggest annual outdoor arts events planned for Saturday, has been postponed due to this week's ample rain and predictions for poor weather.

A new date is expected to be announced soon by presenter Flux Projects for Flux Night 2015: Dream.

Here's an announcement about the delay just released by Flux Projects:

Flux Projects announces Flux Night 2015: Dream, scheduled to take place on Saturday, October 3, has been postponed due to increasingly poor weather conditions.  A new date for the event will be announced shortly.

“It was a painful decision to make,” said Anne Dennington, executive director of Flux Projects. “Artists, their collaborators, our curator and our production crew have worked long hours and really put their hearts into this event.  No one is more disappointed that we are. However, as the weather has continued to take a turn for the worse, it became apparent that safely to artists and audience could be compromised, as could the integrity of the projects.”

Flux Projects remains committed to presenting Flux Night 2015: Dream to its fullest in the coming weeks.
