Flannery O'Connor's Andalusia Farm receives $30,000 gift

An anonymous visitor to Flannery O’Connor’s Andalusia Farm in Milledgeville has donated $30,000 to the Foundation that oversees the 544-acre home of the late, celebrated author who wrote “Wise Blood” and “A Good Man is Hard to Find.” Ten percent of the money will go toward seed money for establishing an endowment, and the rest will go toward operating costs. The site, which is open 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Thurs.-Sun., has an operating budget of $220,000. The foundation is currently running a fundraising campaign with a goal of raising $100,000 by Sept. 30. For details, check out the new website.  And if you haven't been yet, what are you waiting for?
