The Atlanta Metropolitan Christian Church will continue to occupy the building at 569 Ezzard St., just off Edgewood Avenue, through early 2016, with Dad's Garage tentatively planning to open there by the middle of next year.

That will give the improv and scripted comedy troupe time to continue fund-raising for the 1.22-acre property, which cost $2 million-plus. Planned enhancements include a new sound system, concessions area and elevated seating.

Dad's Garage lost its rented home of 18 years in Inman Park in 2013 to redevelopment and has been performing at 7 Stages in Little Five Points.
