Auditions for actor to play "Young Coalhouse" for "Ragtime" at Cobb Energy

Think you have the chops to play "Young Coalhouse" for a national tour of "Ragtime"?

The Cobb Energy Centre, in conjunction with Phoenix Entertainment, is looking for a young male actor to take on  the role for for the Atlanta leg of the national tour of of  "Ragtime", which will be at the Cobb Energy Centre at 7:30 p.m. April 23 and 1 p.m. April 24.

The character is  a young African American child, ideally around four years old, 3'6" tall and 40 pounds. He should have an "innocent" and "pure" quality about him, according to the callout. The deadline is 5 p.m. March 25.

In role, Young Coalhouse will be picked up by an adult cast member, sit on a cast member's lap and pretend to play piano. Young Coalhouse will also skip in a circle holding hands with other young actors.

The actor must be accompanied at all times by a chaperone over 18 years of age. Only non-union actors will be considered. Must be able to attend rehearsal and wardrobe fittings on April 22.
