Art enthusiasts looking to enjoy a free event hosted by a local dance company and art gallery this week should look no further than Inman Park.

Atlanta Ballet is teaming up with Whitespace Gallery to host a free event that will invite attendees to enjoy art, hear from experts within the local arts community and mingle.

"Offstage: Party in the Garden" will take place at Whitespace Gallery, an art gallery located in a renovated carriage house in Inman Park, on May 4.

Witness an art installation by Whitespace artist Bojana Ginn while listening to music from a DJ, and indulging in free beer and wine. At 7 p.m., Ginn will be joined by Atlanta Ballet's choreographer in residence Helen Pickett for a discussion on "Women in the Arts." Lee Foster, managing director of Theatrical Outfit, will serve as the moderator.

Pickett choreographed Atlanta Ballet's upcoming interpretation of Tennessee Williams' "Camino Real." The ballet opens May 12.

RSVP for "Offstage" by emailing lwilson@atlantaballet.com.

6:30 p.m.-8:30 p.m. May 4. Free. Whitespace Gallery, 814 Edgewood Ave., Atlanta. Facebook.com.
