Hartsfield-Jackson International is about to head into some of the busiest days of the holiday season, as crowds head to the airport for flights to see family and loved ones.

On Thursday morning, crowds streamed into the Atlanta airport terminal, but security lines were moving quickly, with posted wait times of less than 15 minutes.

Nationally, Thursday Dec. 22 and Friday Dec. 23 are expected to be the busiest days of this holiday period at airports across the country, according to a forecast from industry group Airlines for America.

At Hartsfield-Jackson, among the busiest days are Friday Dec. 23. Other busy days will be Friday Dec. 30, Monday Jan. 2 and Thursday Jan. 5.

Travelers should get to the airport at least two hours before domestic flights and 2.5 hours before international flights.
