Hartsfield-Jackson International plans to strike a real estate consulting deal with Jones Lang LaSalle as it looks for more ways to make money off the land it owns around the airport and in Dawson County.
The airport is seeking Atlanta City Council approval for a three-year on-call commercial real estate consultant contract with Jones Lang LaSalle worth up to $1.2 million total.
Chicago-based real estate services company Jones Lang LaSalle was one of three companies seeking the work. The other two were Atlanta-based Haddow & Co. and The Collaborative Firm LLC.
Jones Lang LaSalle will be tasked with developing a plan "to realize additional value from the airport's real estate assets," including about 500 acres surrounding the airport and 10,000 acres in Dawson County. The airport also owns close to 10,000 acres in Paulding County.
