Hartsfield-Jackson International expects crowds coming through the world's busiest airport for the Fourth of July holiday, with Friday as the busiest day of the weekend.

An estimated 81,570 passengers are expected to pass through Atlanta airport security checkpoints on Friday July 1.

The rest of the weekend will be less crowded at Hartsfield-Jackson, with fewer than 65,000 passengers expected at security checkpoints each day Saturday through Tuesday.

The slowest day of the weekend is expected to be the July 4th holiday itself, when 59,619 passengers are expected to go through security.

The figures include travelers who will line up at Transportation Security Administration checkpoints, and do not include connecting passengers.
