News and notes from Hartsfield-Jackson, the world's busiest airport

Frontier Airlines plans ticket giveaway game Saturday

Frontier Airlines, which last week launched new routes from Atlanta to nine cities, is holding an unusual ticket giveaway event at Atlantic Station this weekend.

On Saturday April 23 from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Atlantic Station's Central Park, Frontier said it will be running a "giant live action board game" on a map of North America, "a unique take on musical chairs," where contestants will compete for free flights.

The game will test the knowledge of cities served by Frontier. (Pssst: Here's a route map on Frontier's website.)

The new routes Denver-based Frontier launched April 14 were from Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport to Houston, Kansas City, Milwaukee, Phoenix, Raleigh-Durham, San Francisco, Salt Lake City, St. Louis and Memphis.

Frontier, which uses an "ultra low-cost carrier" model, operates many of its routes a few days a week instead of daily, and charges customers extra to put a roll-aboard in the overhead bin or to have a soft drink on board.
