Delta to start Atlanta-Burbank flights

Delta Air Lines announced plans to start flying from Atlanta to Hollywood Burbank Airport next summer.

Atlanta-based Delta said the new route will connect Atlanta's film industry with Hollywood. The twice-daily flights are scheduled to start July 8, 2019.

Delta says it will be the only airline to fly nonstop between Burbank and the southeastern United States.

With the new Atlanta-Burbank route, Delta will operate 22 daily flights from Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport to four airports in the Los Angeles area, including Los Angeles International; John Wayne Airport in Orange County; Ontario, Calif. flights announced last month and the newly announced Hollywood Burbank flights.

The  Atlanta-Burbank flights will be operated on  Boeing 737-700 jets with 12 seats in first class, 18 seats in Comfort+ and 94 coach seats in the main cabin.
