Delta Air Lines is flying extra flights to Minneapolis for the Super Bowl this Sunday.
Leading up to the matchup between the Philadelphia Eagles and the New England Patriots, Atlanta-based Delta on Friday is operating four extra flights from Boston to Minneapolis/St. Paul International Airport and four extra flights from Philadelphia to Minneapolis.
On Saturday, Delta is operating one extra flight from Boston and one extra from Philadelphia to Minneapolis.
And on the Monday after the game, Delta will operate six extra flights from Minneapolis to Boston and five extra flights to Philadelphia.
The airline is also collecting 200 pediatric wheelchairs by the day of the game to distribute to people with disabilities. The effort, which Delta calls the "Super Roll," is part of a partnership with the airport commission in Minneapolis and an international disability organization called Joni & Friends.
Also at the Super Bowl, U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers from Atlanta will help with security in Minneapolis, which the agency says will help them to gain experience for the Super Bowl in Atlanta next year.
