Delta introduces new in-flight snacks

Delta Air Lines is adding new in-flight snacks for passengers in Comfort+ seats with extra legroom and for first class passengers.

The new choices in Delta's snack baskets for Comfort+ include wild blueberry pistachio granola bars made by a company called This Bar Saves Lives LLC.

The company gives a packet of food to a child in need for every bar sold via a partnership with an organization called Edesia. This Bar Saves Lives was founded by actors, and actress Kristen Bell is also on the company's board of advisors.

Delta said it will buy 300,000 bars over three months.

Other snacks in the snack baskets through February for Comfort+ class include apple cinnamon walnut cookies, Sun Chips, vanilla bean wafers and Milky Ways, with some choices available on A.M. flights and others for P.M. flights.

The snacks in first class for the next three months include cranberry orange walnut breakfast cookies and blueberry apple granola bites in the A.M., and Miss Vickie's sea salt chips, oatmeal crunch cookies and dark chocolate coated graham crackers on P.M. flights.

Delta's previously announced new lineup of complimentary snacks in "Main Cabin" economy class include almonds, Snyder's of Hanover pretzels, KIND bars and Biscoff.
