U.S. airlines collected more than $900 million in baggage fees in the first three months of the year, according to the U.S. Bureau of Transportation Statistics.
That's up from $864.7 million a year ago.
Atlanta-based Delta Air Lines collected $197.7 million in baggage fees in the first quarter of 2016, making it the second-highest ranked airline for baggage fee take.
At the No. 1 spot in the ranking was Fort Worth, Texas-based American Airlines, which collected $262.5 million in baggage fees in the first quarter.
