Enjoy the warm weather while it lasts. It’s here until Thursday, according to Channel 2 Action News.

“The showers/thunderstorm risk is going to go back up again in a couple of days,” Channel 2 meteorologist Brad Nitz said. “But in the short term, we’re going to see decreasing cloud cover.”

There is a 70 percent chance of rain Thursday, when a storm system could produce heavy downpours and 2 inches of rain in some areas, meteorologists said.

Currently, the temperature is 73 degrees in Atlanta. The average high for this time of year is 75.

Metro Atlanta likely won’t see temps in the 80s until Wednesday, when the expected high is 83.

Tuesday’s pollen count was 49 particles per cubic meter of air, up from Monday’s count of 11, according to Atlanta Allergy and Asthma.

Though pollen levels rose slightly Tuesday, the wet weather Sunday and Monday kept the count well below the current season high of 3,559 recorded on March 31.
